Nurturing Our Members
Bible
Study Fellowship
This group meets in the Quilters Den, next to the church, to study the Bible. This year,
our Bible leader is Martha Oliver. There are 15 members. The
meeting time is 10:00 a.m., the first Tuesday of each month.
Gardner
Quilters
The money we earn is given to the church (for Budget, Wednesday Night Supper Program, etc.) We have a great time for fellowship and fun besides providing a service. We call it our grief support group. We charge our customers according to the size of the quilt and the amount of quilting we do on the quilt. Our hours are between 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ever so often we go to Charlotte's (a small quaint restaurant) in Keo, Thanks to Ken Carter who drives the bus for us. Right now we have only 4 quilters and are in need of others. If you know how to quilt and are willing to give 1 or 2 days a week to this service we think you would find it a blessing. We usually have a back-log of about 8 quilt tops to quilt.
Grief
Support
This group of supporters has come together for the common cause
of helping one another go through the process of grieving the loss of
someone dear to them. Bereavement groups can provide emotional and practical help
for people coping with the death of a loved one. Many people have praised
the benefits received from such groups. It helps to know that others are
feeling what you may be feeling and it helps to know what the different
coping methods are for dealing with grief. This group is free and
open to all. For more information about this group contact Gardner Memorial
United Methodist Church at 501-374-9520. The group currently is meeting at Parkhill Baptist Church.

Some men leave at 7:15 a.m. --other men purchase breakfast in the cafeteria. Men of all faiths and denominations are welcome. Bring your Bible and visit.
