Outreach • Witness As a church, we are called to care for the needs of others. We are called to tell our story of faith and invite others to faith in Christ. The following is a list of ways we do this. If you would like more information or would like to volunteer, please contact us. Argenta United Methodist Church - we support and encourage this new church in our area
Camp Aldersgate - support through donation of items to sell at fundraisers and monetary gifts Church Women United - we are active in this multi-denominational group and support a variety of their projects Annual Gardner Memorial UMC Fish Fry - proceeds benefit The Gardner Quilters make items to raise funds for various causes in and outside the church. Heifer International - collection and donation of money to purchase animals Holiday Food Baskets - provided for families in the area at Thanksgiving and Christmas Holt Neighborhood Association
Holy Healthy - our members are encouraged to participate in this program Lions Club - collection and donation of used eyeglasses Mt. Eagle Christian Center - on-site labor as-needed and monetary donations Our House Shelter - support through donation of items and monetary gifts Silver City Church - our facilities are shared by this wonderful church and we are often able to help them with projects Spanish-language Bibles are offered to our Latin visitors Toys for Tots - collection and donation of Christmas gifts for children Union Rescue Mission - collection and donation of non-perishable food items and coffee, bathroom and kitchen supplies (including paper supplies and/or personal supplies) United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) - we help disaster relief efforts by compiling health kits, school kits, sewing kits, or bulk materials as needed UAMS - collect and donate layette items for the nursery Youth Home, Inc. - support through donation of items and monetary gifts World Hunger/Global Missions Donations of goods for any of these organizations may be brought in any time during the month and placed in the blue-topped plastic storage container in the Fellowship Hall. After the last day of the month, they will be taken to the respective recipients. The Christmas gifts for Children's Hospital usually have to be delivered on or before December 15th.
